The Meaning of Sri Antaranga Yoga
In the language of sanskrit, the word sri (it is read as shree) indicates that something is full of beauty, health, joy, opulences, fame and glory. The word antah refers to something that is inside of something else; something hidden, a confidential secret, but also a conclusion or the end of something. The second part of the word antaranga is the word ranga and it signifies an arena, a stage or confidential, playful and magically charming game or a pastime. The word yoga means to connect or to join.
As the translation of the meaning implies, Sri Antaranga Yoga is connected with something beautiful and confidential. It’s a path that leads to inner playground and connect us with the higher energy.
Thus, Sri Antaranga Yoga represents a process of connecting with our inner being, the spiritual soul. That light of life is wonderfully beautiful, full of opulences and is situated in the most confidential part of our inner self. There, when activated, the most charming pastimes are taking place. These playful games can be realised when we connect with the source of this transcendental power.
As a result, he who practices attains deep peace of mind and soul. He gets health and happiness. He achieves mental and physical strength. He becomes saturated with spiritual power. He is made the light of the world, full of compassion and love.
Sri Antaranga Yoga reveals confidential, exuberant plays of the soul. That play is full of divine energy, excitement and cheerfulness that are enjoyed by those who have attained the spiritual perfection of self-realisation.
When our mind becomes like a jolly swan, we are ready for Sri Antaranga Yoga.
